I’m Eva-Willow
An intro – since you may just end up spending some hours in front of me, creating your magnificent ‘do’. And then maintenance sessions, forevermore 😀
I am a professional dreadlock artist, body piercer and former wildlife rescuer, a singer. I really love people, accept when it comes to animal rescue. Its a tender and complicated thing and those who know will know why I say this.
I am a proud mother of three feral Pink Fairy Hooligans called Galaya Skye, Jeriah Storm and Keturah Deluge. My pride and joy, my reason for living, they make me so proud.
We live in our home – our temple – our ashram. We call her “The Land of Freedom” which I write about all the time in my facebook posts. We share it with our fury, feathered and scaled non-human creatures who have been part of our family. I have proudly created an overgrown jungle and I have named the trees we share a space with. There’s just so much to love and to be grateful for.
I am passionate about my close people. I am besotted with nature and mountains that take one’s breath away. Water, forests, and the magical moon is cupped in soft hands, in a warm bed, here in my heart.
I’m super into natural medicine, plant-based living, and self-improvement. Positive discipline through nurturing and, of course, gorgeously groomed dreadlocks. If we do it, we do it properly. We do it out of respect for what it is and what it is, is so much more than a hairstyle. It is deeply personal, like roots from below the insides of ourselves.
My late husband, Rico Pentz and I used to run a non-profit organization. It was called Helderberg Wildlife Rescue, and it was based in the Western Cape, South Africa. He tragically passed away in January 2024. Our lives have been shaken since.

He was legendary. Both adored and hated by those in his shadow. We were so blessed to have the years we had with him. Because our life together, my pink fairy hooligans grew up raising wild animals. The void has been enormous. We’ve been processing and trying to carry on with our lives as best as we can.
We still volunteer for SANCCOB and do what we can as and when it comes up. Wildlife rescue will always course strongly through our veins but we’ve had to lay it down for the time being.

There’s so much good we can do don’t you think? One lifetime is almost not long enough to do all the things we’d love to do. Need to do. Crave to do.
Which is also why I have recently completed my exams to become certified as a birth Doula through Wombs . I am super excited to welcome new little humans into the world. I want to help ensure it happens in the most peaceful way. I aim to provide support and care where there is often very little. A placid entrance into this life is something every little living, breathing being deserves.
One of the biggest, most enormous, most awesome things I’m absolutely in love with – is music. I come from a rather crazy, musically talented bloodline. Once I can do a whole lot more of that, my heart will beat lumpy chocolate custard – I tell you! 😀 . . . I am busy with some things in the background so watch this space. There will be more links to things soon enough 😀

When you come see me over here at my studio, you’ll spend time in a cozy wooden cabin. Some of our cats will pop in to say hi, mostly beloved Nova. Our ducks and a little 11 year old hen named Bindi, will also join occasionally. . .
